Reformatting and Book Layout Service Levels:

Economy ($125):

For books that are 200 pages or less and have up to 10 graphics, charts, or tables

Standard ($250):

For books that are 201-399 pages, and/or have 11-50 graphics, charts, or tables

Custom ($500):

For books that are more than 400 pages and/or have more than 50 graphics, charts, or tables

This is for our "Book Reformatting Service", which is optional ... if you're already happy with how your book is formatted, there's no need for us to reformat, so you won't need this service.

How Reformatting Service Works

If you need us to adjust your page size, margins, fonts, or layout, you'll need to add reformatting to your order.

Once you submit your order, you'll need to upload a single Microsoft Word document to allow us to do the formatting (in most cases, a packaged Adobe inDesign file is also acceptable). Reformatting service can add 5-10 business days to your wait time for a PDF proof.

What's Included in Book Page Formatting?

All reformatting services include re-sizing of files to desired book size and basic adjustments to margins, fonts, page numbering, and tables of contents for consistency throughout. If you have specific design requests for the inside of your book, please let us know in the "Comments" section at the end of the order process. Changing styles after we have begun work on your files or sending us multiple files that we need to combine may result in additional fees.

What If I Have Changes?

To avoid delays and added costs, it's essential that you fully proofread and edit your book before you send us your file to format.

If you have changes that are necessary after you see the formatting, reject your proofs and send us a list of edits. Depending on the work involved, your prepress technician may send you a quote for you to approve before proceeding. If your edits are too extensive for our service, you can make them on your end and send us a new Word Document. Keep in mind, if you send us a new Word Document, a second formatting fee will apply.
